The tantalizing shine that a pearl emits is the very reason why it is a good choice in terms of fine jewelry. A pearl is made in a very long, patience-requiring process that begins when any foreign object, however miniscule it is, gets trapped inside a hard-shelled mollusk. This lengthy natural process of creating a pearl is the very reason why it is regarded as a precious gem. Pearls are used in virtually any kind of jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings. Oftentimes, pearl jewelry is obtained in a set and worn all together to create a harmonious appearance of such a fine gemstone.

Pearls are oftentimes regarded to appear in perfectly circular shape, and in all cases, the bigger this circular pearl is the more expensive it is. Circular-shaped pearls are used to create jewelry and oftentimes compose the major part of the said jewelry. Circular-shaped pearls can be woven together to create necklaces and bracelets that are usually sold in one package. Other shapes of pearls come in semi-round, button, and teardrop shapes. These three other shapes of pearls are commonly used as pendants or as embellishments in jewelry.

White is the most common color of pearl though recently, black pearls began to surface. In some other parts of the sea, new color hues are found such as hints of pink, lime, blue, yellow and lavender. Yet, these different colors of pearls are difficult to find that is why creating even a small bracelet that contains purely one color aside from white is a difficult to achieve.
